Lucas Garrido GómezUniversidad de SevillaHi! My name's Lucas and I'm a PhD student in nuclear physics who loves music, reading good novels and above all, learning. My goal is to share my vision and my way of dealing with daily life as a young researcher.

David Godos ValenciaInstituto de Física - UNAMI am a PhD Physics student at UNAM and my main goal is to become an experimental nuclear astrophysicist. As part of my formation path, I had the opportunity to travel outside Mexico, my home country, to participate in experiments within international collaborations. This, alongside the schools and conferences I have attended, has exposed me to several culture shocks and unique experiences that nowadays are part of my fondest memories. I am always happy to share my experiences with anyone who might benefit and learn from them.

Jihye HongUniversity of Notre DameI am Jihye Hong, a Galactic archaeologist in Physics and Astronomy at the University of Notre Dame. I love sharing tips for international students living in the U.S. and talking about the various challenges of grad school life whether it's personal struggles, interactions with peers and advisors, or thoughts about the future. I hope to create a space for open connections where people feel less alone. Personally, I love oceans, lakes, and dogs, and I enjoy traveling the world, especially making Europe stopovers when I visit my home, Korea. Oh, and I also enjoy imagining how our galaxy has evolved over time.

Maria LugaroKonkoly ObservatoryI was born in Torino (Italy) where, after giving up a ballet dance career, I attended a high school on classical studies. My degrees in Theoretical Physics were completed "cum laude" at the University of Torino, finishing with a project on slow neutron captures under the invaluable supervision of Roberto Gallino. After my PhD at Monash University in 2001, I moved to the UK to take up post-doctoral positions. I currently live and work in Budapest at the Konkoly Observatory with an amazing research team studying, among other topics, the nucleosynthesis of radioactive nuclei and the interpretation of stardust and other types of meteoritic data.

Chirag RathiOhio UniversityI am a PhD candidate at Ohio University, pursuing my research in nuclear astrophysics. My research involves study of optical model parameters and nuclear level densities, which are critical to advancing our understanding of the abundance of elements in the universe. Beyond my research, I serve as the Vice-President of the Physics & Astronomy Graduate Student Organization, where I advocate for and suggest initiatives that enhance the engagement of our academic community outside the classroom. I am also an active member of the Department’s DEI committee, dedicated to fostering an inclusive learning environment. Outside of work, I like using my telescope to explore the night sky and broaden my horizons by reading about diverse disciplines such as history, psychology and archeology.
